Signing up clients on finance
Daryl/Paul’s salesperson currently offer clients a 0% finance from Lombards. It cost the firm 20% of the finance amount to provide this finance over 2 years.
The next day, Paul rings the client and up-sells them to Outfront’s leasing product (by Technology Leasing I believe), which is then tax deductible to the client though due to interest, it extends the payments from 2 years to 3 years, or they have increased payments. Outfront pay us for selling this product, as opposed to the previous product which costs us.
I believe we should offer just the one finance option (the leasing product) to save on the time and expertise required to up-sell. People just want to know – how much upfront and how much per week/month.
An application can be complete by either:
- Fill in application for client, and fax it to Outfront.
- Client rings Outfront, and confirmation is granted or denied over the phone.
Once the application has been approved, Outfront faxes the Finance Forms to us within 30 minutes. These could be faxed to:
- The client's home fax machine
- Our office fax machine
- The team leader's fax machine
- The document signer's fax machine
- A local newsagent/service station etc fax machine
Or, they could be emailed to, and then printed out:
- The client's email acct
- Our email acct
- Team Leader's email acct
- Doc Signer's email acct
This email could be read & printed out:
- Client's other computer
- Local internet cafe
- A laptop, connected via wireless modem, with mobile printer (powered by an inverter in the car)
- Our office
- Team Leader's office
- Doc Signer's office
This means we might be able to get the documents signed:
- Within 30 minutes of the application
- Later during the same day/night that we meet them
- The next day during work hours
- The next day after work hours
Once the documents are signed, we need to get the original documents, with signatures, back to Outfront before we deliver the product. Outfront only put our money in our bank account once the computer is delivered - so we need to get the paper work to them before that.
If we are able to deliver PCs to clients the next day, then we should get paperwork to Outfront asap.
